I know the JD ZTR's only recently went to advertising the 18,000 fpm speed, but they cut no better or faster than the older one's with lower speeds (I think 16,000 fpm). This would be 200mph as sircharles stated.īlade tip speed is only one factor in cut quality, and it's not a given that a higher blade tip speed will equal a faster or better cut. 19,000 feet per minute is the commercial top end, and I think 18,000 fpm is the residential limit. ![]()
